Seriously. I honestly don’t know where to begin. I have so many thoughts in my head – and for many of them, there are just no words. Yesterday, hands down, one of the most unbelievable days of my life. It was amazing!! I think I spent most of last night/today with tears of joy running down my face. My kids look at me like I’m nuts 😉 But what an incredible day! It was above and beyond any expectations I could of dreamt of. When I looked outside and saw the line, not only out of the door – but almost to the STREET! OMG! The bake goods! The RAFFLE items! I mean, how freaking incredible! There are just so many people I need to thank! First and foremost, The Gorr’s, Chief Webber, and the ENTIRE Trexlertown Fire Company/Ladies Aux.! People, these guys and gals worked Friday night cutting stuff up and they started preparing the hall at 3:00 AM on Sunday! That’s in the MORNING! Had a structure fire at 5:00 AM and served/made breakfast ALL DAY LONG! Then cleaned up!!! Some worked the entire night before! I have never seen so many hard working, generous, good, caring people in all of my LIFE! All I can say is thank GOD I started that fire in the 7th grade! 😜🚒🚨🔥 1100 breakfasts and countless trips to the grocery store. How amazing is that food! Thank you to ALL of the volunteers – both Friday and Sunday! The regulars, friends…some even from HIGH school, family members, strangers! The donations! OMG! I can’t throw numbers around because I don’t know WHO reads this blog (aka Uncle SAM) but I don’t even know what to say! I’m just talking about what was in the heart box! One man, gave another man an unmarked envelope that held 10 one hundred dollar bills. Are you kidding me! The cash/checks in that box alone…(brother is tallying the raffle – TTown is tallying the bake sale/breakfast!) well, you people have no idea what you’ve done not only for my Mother, but me and my entire family. Last night was the best night of sleep I’ve had in a very long time. Partly, because I was freaking exhausted! LOL! But the other reason was because I can breathe a little easier knowing that I can pay for a lot of/if not ALL of Mom’s care at Phoebe if we can’t win this insurance battle – because of the 1100 wonderful people like each and every one of YOU that helped out/came to/baked for/donated to that breakfast. Also a special thanks to my sister-in-law, Jenny and friend, Sheena Valero for all of the organization! And my Uncle D for making that awesome box! Even the Parkland Press came again! I could say thank you all night, but it would never express the gratitude in my heart. If only I could hug and thank you all personally. My Mom is still in shock and can’t believe that people would do this for her. She just doesn’t get how loved or wonderful she is. I mean, it was so humbling to watch an entire community come together for MY Mom! I just can not, and never will be able to thank each and every one of you enough. Thank YOU! ALL of you. 💜 I need to stop before I lose it. Again. It’s just a beautiful thing for me to see and be a part of something so incredible which stemmed from something so tragic. Gahhhhh. Ok. Now I really have to stop.
Had Moms inspection done on her new house today! As well as a handicapped specialist person! And then Mom has a Cat Scan tomorrow. Will fill you all in tomorrow. Happy Veterans Day everyone. And thank you. All of you. Xoxo
