12/17!!!!

Hi guys! We are in! I gotta tell you! This day, is one of the most rewarding days EVER. It has been a LONG and extremely emotional journey to get here. Some people thought this was a great idea, but many people didn’t. This was many sleepless nights, tears, worries (did I do the right thing, is anyone going to be mad, Mom, Mom, Mom…) but followed my heart, and I just feels right! I didn’t cry once today, except tears of happiness because I know she can and will have a great life here. These are her 3 favorite little people, at the new place, checking out the kids leaving the elementary school across the street. So HaPPy!!

Closing was right across the street from Phoebe and I had a couple minutes to spare so I ran over to tell her what was happening. She said she was excited because it was one step closer to returning home. Just wanted to hug her so hard, but her smile and her words, were all I needed 💓 I just can’t wait to get it all painted/situated! I’m so excited! Far cry from where I was yesterday.

Last night was a tough one, but to be honest, when I was sitting there, all alone, I just felt it was no longer our home, it was time to just move on and not turn back. Really didn’t cry. Just felt at peace and ready to move forward. Much better than I thought. 💚

Had great helpers today! My in-laws, Brent’s Aunt, Uncle and Grandpa, my brother and SIL, my Aunt Joanne, Pop and my Dad. Couldn’t have done it without all of you! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! And of course Brent (who is finally HOME, Max and Molly. Amazing little kids – they have been incredible. Here’s one in Action 😉

My Uncle D, Aunt Joanne, and Dad’s cousin, Sally are coming to paint tomorrow! Uncle D and a friend from High School, Tia and my BFF’s hubby are coming Wednesday! We very very very much appreciate this guys! We will have this house in tip top shape in no time!

Mom kicked butt on her swallow test today. Still struggling with thin liquids but is allowed soft/chopped food. She will be thrilled about that. I am just so proud of her will and spirit. She is an inspiration and honestly, my hero. So lucky to have her 💛 And the fire company check presentation has be cancelled until after the new year. Because of her immune system, the are so scared to get her sick. I can totally understand that! Will keep you updated!

Last picture! Max had a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus last night. Check this out. LOLOLOL.

And lastly, I can’t thank you all for all of the help you have provided during this journey – big or small. I know I say it a lot, but I MEAN it from the bottom of my heart. Whether its painting, a donation, helping at the benefit breakfast, getting boxes, watching my kids, fostering a pet, having a drink with me and listening to me cry, whatever! Thank you. I feel so lucky tonight to have my family, my MOM, my friends, our health…and all of you. Thanks again, and good night. 💞

I have to give you credit for all your sacrifices you have made to come through as you have for your mother. Linda’s whole life was turned upside down, and moving forward she has made much progress in her recovery. Things may never be as they were….but she has one contant in her life that will not change….That is the love of her family:) Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas full of Blessings!
